Fabian Passport Photo

This December we are planning to go on holiday. Chloe already had her passport, so we need to take Fabian to do his very first passport. At first, I thought the picture sure not nice, because children can’t like adult smile at the camera. They will look here and there and sometimes when they are not in mood, they cry! Sigh….

At the beginning they said need to take photo at the immigration. The queue is long, we wait for 1 hour plus and he start to feel sleepy and cranky. I was thinking “oh dear, how can he has a smiling face later”. When his turn, he took the picture and the lady said can’t use, because can see my hands. She asks me to take his photo at studio. OMG, I need to take my walk down the street to the photo shop. I was sweating and Fabian look so tired. What to do, I have to no choice. The girl asks me to go in the studio and let him wear a vest, because his clothes is blue color same as the background. Later cannot see his shoulder. The girl and I try to make him smile. Finally, the result is out. Look for yourself and tell me your comment.

I'm very satisfy, because is better than I expected.

Stickers

I want to share with you all these stickers. My brother-in-law bought some stickers from US for my daughter. I really like the third picture stickers. I think is very special. I never saw this type of sticker over here. Chloe is so happy to received this gift. She really like stickers very much. Everytime she will ask me to buy for her. I even buy stickers book for her to paste. But I think most of the children also like stickers.

Fabian new look

He just have his hair cut last saturday. It's really very hard to cut hair for baby and children. He start crying when we hold his head. He not just crying but scream as well. Just like we beat him so hard.....hahaha. I wonder all children are like this. I try to bring some toys for him, but he don't want. Maybe the hair irritate him. This is his new look.

As you can see his hair like "tempurung head" (coconut hair style). What can I do, he just can't sit still to get his hair done. Luckily Chloe now can sit still to cut her hair, because she is afraid that later she is not pretty. Hahaha...she worry that if the lady cut too short, she can't tie her hair and she cannot "pan leng leng"anymore. Girl.

Homemade play dough

This is the first time I made play dough. It is very simple. All you need is :

1 cup of flour
1/2 cup of salt
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Few drops of food coloring

Just mix all these ingredients together in a cooking pot and set over a medium heat while stirring constantly until the mixture becomes a ball. This should only take a few minutes.
Then remove from the stove and place the ball on the counter and add the food coloring then begin kneading the ball. (Be careful, the ball will be warm from the stove).
Knead for 1 to 2 minutes, then let it cool.
You'll want to wear gloves or your hands will turn the color of the coloring.




I keep in a zipper bag. It can keep up to few weeks.

These are our creation! The smaller caterpillar and and apple my daughter made. All the shapes my daughter cut it and I add some design. So "pai ser" my art is not that good.

July and August are the most tiring month. My whole family falls sick except me. First my son Fabian, he admitted hospital because of acute gastroenteritis (diarrhea and vomit) Cause by bacteria in his gastric. He stays at hospital for 3 nights 4 days. Then my daughter fever and runny nose follow by my husband, flu. After a week my son admitted again. He got phlegm. When he breathes I can hear the whizzing sound. Very serious until he need admitted for 5 nights 6 days.

The story not yet ends, when he came back for few days, he vomit again. So, I need to take him to the doctor. The doctor said he maybe he is allergy to milk lactose. He needs to change his milk powder to soy powder. After taking the Isomil (soy powder) he is ok now. I know that the soy powder taking for a long period of time it will cause tooth decay. However, he will drink until 1 year-old. So is ok no need to worry, since he don’t have teeth.

I am extremely exhausted. Being a mother, the most tiring is look after the children when they fall sick! I sleep for two days when every thing settles down.

Snakes fighting at my car park

Today afternoon, my husband saw the King Cobra and Python are fighting at our condos car park. Then he snaps the photo for me to see. At that time I was taking a nap. When I wake up he told me and I quickly rush out to see, already too late because the firemen have come to catch the snakes. You can see the Python is wrapping around it the King cobra and it can’t even move. The snakes are just behind a car. Luckily is found and not hiding under the car or go inside the house, if not we can’t imagine what will happen. I wonder if the firemen didn’t come and catch the snakes, what will happen.
You think who win in this fighting? I know. The firemen! Wakakaka……

Vesak Day

Vesak day also meaning the Buddha’s birthday are celebrate by many Asian countries. It actually encompasses the birth, enlightenment Nirvana, and passing (Par nirvana) of Gautama Buddha.

During Vesak day, my husband will bath one of this Buddha at our house.

That day, one of my friend had post her treasures. Then I told her my husband have lots of this treasures. What I’m talking about is this “sumpoh”. I said I want to show her how many my husband got. These are the pictures I had taken below. These are just a portion of “sumpoh”, all the pendant my husband keep in his cabinet. If you ask me how many pendant, I can say my husband himself also don’t know how many he got. The entire statues that we pray every day are more than 100. Once we have invited a monk to come to our house and chant. He said my house Buddha statues is more than the temple.

Everyone first visit my house will have a shock to see the Buddha statues. I believe in spiritual. I am very afraid when I listen to people talking about the spiritual. Last time I listen to PGHK podcast about real ghost stories. I will scared until cannot sleep, so now stop already. My sister-in-law know that I am afraid of this so whenever she got received any pictures about this “thing” she will not email to me. Because after I see the picture I can’t sleep at night and start thinking. I can’t get rid of my mind.I asked the monk that came to my house, whether my house got that “thing” or not. He said your house got so many Buddha statues where can that “thing” stay in your house. Phew!
Every Chinese New year my husband wills headache because he have clean all the statues that we pray. It will become very dusty. He needs two days to complete the job. He starts morning till midnight. Last time I will help him but now I need to take my children so he has done it himself.

The one on the left is "luang por tot", center one is "phor" means Dad in Thai" and the right one is " Luang Pu Yen". The "phor" is first made from this "Luang Pu Yen".
