Sometimes we like to try out Malay foods. Last weekend, my husband and I went to try this Malay stall at Jelutong, all the way from Bukit Dumbar. The foods there are very good, but the vegetables are too salty. I like the “ikan bakar” and “Lala masak pedas” is very good. The price is quite reasonable. All we eat just Rm45, plus drinks. Before that we have tried the “Nasi Goreng Paprik and Sotong Masak Pedas” also not bad.

Hi Jesse, I have always enjoyed Malay foods. And the places you mentioned sure rings a bell with me.
Used to stay and work in Penang and have always loved Penang....my tme was in the middle 60's, 70's and early 80's.
I guess I must have taken a drive around Penang Island at least 25 times, ha ha, and ahemmm, always at night after dinner, and often when on a moonlight night. With a partner of course, ha ha.
Somehow Penang, and Penang women have that certain charm....always enjoyed listening to their so gentle Hokkien talk.
My last trip there was in 2002.
Have a great weekend Jesse, best regards, Lee.
